Devarim Question 1
Yechiel Shaffer
It is no coincidence that the following Pasuk (verse) appear in our weekly reading the Shabbos before Tisha B’Av, the day commemorating the destruction of both Temples in Jerusalem and countless other tragedies through the ages:
דברים פרשת דברים פרק א
יב) איכה אשא לבדי טרחכם ומשאכם וריבכם
12. How can I bear your trouble, your burden, and your strife all by myself?
What are the connections between this Pasuk and Tisha B’Av?
What is the deeper meaning behind this connection?
Are there any resonating messages from Moshe’s opening words that are relevant to Tisha B’av?
